The “Toitures Trois Étoiles Inc. Maintenance Services” division, often referred to as the Service Department, is looking for an Estimator to meet the growing demand from its public and private clientele. The Estimator will work under the supervision and in collaboration with the department director. The type of projects handled by this department allows the candidate to develop unique expertise and skills, reflecting one of our core values: customer service.
Primary Responsibilities
Estimating:
- Prepare estimates
- Assess and determine quantities and construction costs for private and public projects
- Identify key issues and provide appropriate recommendations
- Respond to client calls and emails while meeting quality and timeline objectives
- Assist clients with technical questions
- Ensure client satisfaction and contribute to customer retention by highlighting the company’s services
- Draft and submit proposals to clients
- Validate the financial performance of projects
- Prepare estimation sheets, including specifications, inclusions, and exclusions
- Correctly interpret technical specifications required by the client
- Maintain an up-to-date directory of suppliers and subcontractors
- Determine roofing repair and replacement costs while applying the company’s profit margins
Project Coordination:
- Open project files for work execution (e.g., prepare work sheets, order lists, stakeholders list, copies of plans and specifications)
- Monitor project progress with the Service Director
- Contribute to project execution through effective coordination and completion of assigned sub-tasks
- Assist with billing preparation
- Participate in defining and improving internal procedures
- Provide information and updates to internal stakeholders
- Support management with administrative and accounting requests, proposing solutions based on analysis
- Perform other related duties as required

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the construction field
- Experience in roofing is an asset
- Any relevant training is an asset (e.g., Vocational Diploma in Construction or Estimation, Bachelor’s degree)
- Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written
